Bury Girls & Ladies FC successfully introduced an Under 8s section at the club during the Summer of 2008.  The development programme for this age group is designed to allow the girls to learn new skills and how to play football, whilst having fun.  Girls in school years 1, 2 & 3 are more than welcome to come and join in the fun.

Whilst learning the girls are also introduced to semi-competitive football and play in friendly matches and fair play tournaments during the course of the football season.

There are three progression stages with the development programme with each element being progressively harder as they move through bronze, silver and gold awards.  Training is delivered over a 7 week period and on the 8th week, players have the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learnt in an assessment.  Players will be rewarded with a certificate and a medal as they complete each stage.
